June 14th, 2008 by GiGi

Illegal Richard Gere KissThe last stand on public kissing in India, seems to have been shoved under one of those fabulous Indian carpets. In March, the Indian Supreme Court, squashed an arrest warrant issued against Hollywood actor Richard Gere for kissing Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty

Gere, tightly clasped Shetty - winner of Britain’s Celebrity Big Brother reality show - and planted kisses on her cheek in front of gaping Indian truck drivers at an awareness event in Rajasthan.

Considering Bollywood is known for it’s sexually suggestive sone and dance routines, this particular incident caused an uproar throught India. Kissing in public is technically illegal in India
