Men and Women Cops Equal

May 25th, 2008 by GiGi

kickass-policewoman.jpgIt seems the Greek Police are getting with the 21st century.

A Greek court has ruled that the country’s police do not have the right to bar women shorter than 1.7 metres (five feet, six inches) from joining the force.

The decision from the administrative appeals court came after a woman slightly under the height requirement filed a challenge to the policy. The woman is 1.65 metres tall.

Feminist groups said the height limit, which was previously 1.65 metres for women and 1.7 metres for men, discriminated against females. The decision came after a woman (she was 1.65 meters tall) filed a challenge to the policy.

Now if we could just get the police worldwide to insist on bust sizes of nothing less than 38C - everyone would be happy!
