No More Little Porkers In New Zealand

The Ministry of Education in New Zealand has had enough of the little porkers and has been on a fat-busting crusade, introducing sweeping guidelines against unhealthy food in New Zealand schools. The guideline only applied to food sold on the premises, and schools did not need to monitor food brought in from outside.
Typically, nutritional over achiever with too much power and not enough common sense decided to carry it a step further, as it looks like some of the mothers from Oteha Valley primary school north of Auckland have been told they are allowed to celebrate their birthdays at school, but the cake must stay at home.
Over the years I’ve been told by a number of teachers that I didn’t need to send my baked goods to school with my children. My lack of culinary skills was the reason as inevitably neither my kids or their classmates cared for the treats I’d baked them.
